Position
This is the dream job for a PR specialist looking to make an impact in one of silicon valley’s fastest growing companies. By taking charge of our communications and PR, you'll already have experience building a consumer facing technology brand with awesome contacts in the consumer, tech and business media. The Communications Specialist will be responsible for strategizing and executing memorable communications and PR campaigns in line with Heyzap’s stratospheric growth. As a communications guru working in a lightning-fast paced environment you’ll find yourself diving deep into a wide range of projects. One day you will be getting Techcrunch coverage on our upcoming app release, the next breaking full page company profiles with Inc Magazine.

About You
- You enjoy winning coverage
- You’ve been working in a PR firm and you want to jump over to the startup side
- You can create unique and imaginative PR campaigns users will be talking about for years
- You have a bulging rolodex of contacts in consumer, tech and business media
- You have a track record of creating big impact PR campaigns for the world’s most exciting products
- You get passionate about products, especially the mobile variety
- You pick up skills lightning fast
- You can get the media excited about products, stories and ideas
- You can write press releases, articles and blog posts for world leading publications

Responsibilities
- Blast ahead with Heyzap's communications strategy
- Be point of contact to PR firms
- Create awesome marketing events
- Create unique press campaigns
- Obtain speaking positions for employees at key industry events
- Write killer copy for web, press releases, social media outlets
Requirements
- Must be able to work onsite
- Previous experience implementing big impact communications and PR campaigns
- Worked at a tier A PR firm in the US
- Outstanding achievements throughout undergraduate degree - from a top tier university
- Great Google Docs/Office/Keynote/Powerpoint skills
- Positive, problem solving attitude
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Understanding of mobile technologies and trends
- Ability to learn new concepts quickly
- Can multitask in a fast paced environment
- Team player attitude and a huge sense of fun
- Leadership
- A 'go get it' attitude with the ability to take initiative
